Houston is home to several talented and famous musicians. Below are just a few of them.

Beyonce

Beyonce Knowles is one of the most famous people alive today. Formerly of Destiny’s Child, she is the singer of the hit song “All the Single Ladies” as well as the new workout video commissioned by the First Lady. Her voice is spectacular, and she is loved worldwide by a huge fan base. She’s performed with Lady Gaga and her videos are known for their theatrical elements, such as in “Ring the Alarm.” Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child was also born in Houston.

Clint Black

A country crooner who often wears a hat of the same color as his last name, Clint Black is famous for such songs as “A Bad Goodbye” and “Killing Time.” He sings more traditional country music, often with the hard working man as the central voice or character. Lyle Lovett, another famous country musician, also comes from the Houston area.

Hillary and Haylie Duff

These sisters are famous for their singing career, as well as the former’s role on the Disney program, Lizzie Maguire.

Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers is a well-known country musician who sings songs such as “Lady” and “Today I Started Loving You Again.” His songs are mostly soft romantic ballads.
